Quality before fashion. — Het Archief

Our selection

Classic and curious.

Our list travels from France, Italy and Spain to Austria, Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Americas. We select on character, authenticity and sheer drinking pleasure.

Several popular wines remain permanently available by the glass, while we open different bottles every day. Return to a favourite or discover something new each time you visit.

Taste here.
Take it home.

Het Archief is both a wine bar and a wine shop. An important part of our selection comes from Ad Bibendum, the Belgian-Dutch wine importer bringing together more than 1,500 wines from sixteen countries. Its focus on character, identity, finesse and elegance closely matches the way we build our own list.

Alongside familiar appellations and grapes, you will find distinctive estates, lesser-known regions and organically or biodynamically farmed wines. We do not select according to one label or fashion: first and foremost, a wine should be good, recognisable and interesting.

Tasted something at the table that you would like to pour again at home? Many bottles on our list are also available to take away. Tell us what you enjoy, the occasion and the budget you have in mind. Ernst, Caroline and the team will help you choose, even if you do not yet have a particular bottle in mind.
